This short session will use a combination of presentation and group discussion to provide an Introduction to Suicide Prevention and Awareness.

This session will help participants to recognise signs of risk, and how to respond to warning signs, as well as addressing the concept of mental health.

- Understanding of ‘mental health’.
- Stigma and misinformation surrounding suicide and mental health.
- Risk factors associated with suicide risk.
- Warning signs of suicide risk.
- Skills to help respond to suicide risk.
- Statutory and Community Resources available for support
Facilitator: Lighthouse has 20 years’ experience in delivering early intervention, counselling and crisis support in suicide prevention and emotional health. It has a diverse range of referral and signposting partnerships, and offers bespoke training to support organisations and individuals in suicide alertness, and statutory and community resources that provide support.
