Talking openly about money is vitally important for our health, wealth and relationships. Money is emotional – it’s the roof over our heads, the food on our table and the clothes that we wear.

Recent MaPS’ research informs us of the importance of building financial wellbeing:

  • Households will see a £4k hit in their household income this year, due to Cost of Living increases.
  • Over 12 million people in the UK are now borrowing money to pay for food and essential bills, with half doing so for the first time.
  • 1 in 5 people think they will need credit to get through the next 3 months.
  • 17% of people are relying on borrowing to make up their mortgage payments (52% for the first time).

www.MoneyHelper.org.uk is a Government website - it offers free, impartial money and pensions guidance that cuts through financial jargon and complexity, to help build knowledge and confidence and reduce anxiety, in all types of money matters.
