Discovery! Conference

Discovery 2021!

The fifth Discovery conference will take place online on Saturday 6th November 2021. There will be lectures from across the archaeological community in Ulster and beyond. The conference is organised and co-hosted by the Ulster Archaeological Society and the Centre for Community Archaeology at QUB, with the commercial sector, museums, academics, societies and community groups all represented at the virtual podium.

Discovery! 2020

The next Discovery! conference will be held remotely on Saturday 7th November and will feature lectures from across the archaeological community in Ulster. The conference is organised by the Ulster Archaeological Society and the Centre for Community Archaeology at QUB, with the commercial sector, museums, academics, societies and community groups all represented at the podium.

DISCOVERY! 2019

The third Discovery! conference was held in Queen’s on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th November, featuring lectures from across the archaeological community in Ulster – with the commercial sector, museums, academics, societies and community groups all represented at the podium. Organised by the Ulster Archaeological Society and the Centre for Community Archaeology at QUB this was a hugely successful event.

Many thanks to those who attended the conference at the weekend. We were overwhelmed by your support and it was fantastic to see so many people from all lots of different archaeological circles in attendance.

Discovery! 2018

The second Discovery! conference was held in Queen’s on Saturday 3rd November, featuring 17 lectures from across the archaeological community in Ulster – with the commercial sector, museums, academics, societies and community groups all represented at the podium. Organised by the Ulster Archaeological Society and the Centre for Community Archaeology at QUB this was a hugely successful event, with nearly double the number of participants that attended the inaugural conference last year.

Discovery! 2017

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the first meeting of the Ulster Archaeological Society at Queen's University, Belfast and the launch of the new Centre for Community Archaeology at Queen's University, Belfast, the Ulster Archaeological Society is proud to present the details of the forthcoming Discovery 2017!  Inaugural Annual Review of Archaeological Discoveries in Ulster conference.
