Cyber-AI Hub

Leading the Charge in Cyber-AI Innovation

Our Cyber AI Hub embodies our commitment to industry-aligned innovation, focusing on cybersecurity and AI. By collaborating with eight industry leaders, we have established a dynamic space where academia and industry converge to advance:

  • 5G network security
  • Threat intelligence
  • Malware detection and prevention in critical infrastructures
  • Enhanced AI verification techniques
  • Robust cloud and software security solutions

This hub is not only advancing the security landscape but also positioning our region as a world leader in Cyber-AI innovations.

Industry Partners
Ampliphae

Ampliphae is a Belfast-based cyber-security software company, a founding member of the Northern Ireland Cyber Security Cluster (NI Cyber), and a longstanding Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) partner.

The company have deep expertise in networks and analytics; their Encryption Intelligence product received two Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards - the industry’s most prestigious accolades - at Mobile World Congress 2024 : Best Mobile Security Solution and the overall CTO Choice: Outstanding Mobile Technology Award for the world's first quantum-safe Private 5G deployment.
This research project will address the emerging threats to complex systems and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), such as communication networks and industrial control systems.

Organisations are looking to AI to configure, operate and protect their critical networks & systems. These systems have unprecedented insight of users, and deep awareness of the environment within which they operate. They have become increasingly complex, and have transitioned towards open, disaggregated architectures – ultimately these systems are too complex for humans to manage and optimise.
Leveraging Ampliphae’s networks & system expertise, and QUB’s world-class research capabilities, this project will address the cyber resilience of critical networks and systems to improve their defences against adversaries and attack.
