Information

As a researcher, you have a lot going on and it sometimes feels like you don't have the time to read all the emails and newsletters that you receive, and that keeping informed is not as important as your research... Think again!

Being aware of what is happening in your School, Faculty, University, sector and field of research is hugely important and doesn't take as long as you'd think. It enables you not only to seize interesting advertised opportunities, but also to gain broader knowledge, helping you to understand your surroundings and fit in.

There are many ways to keep informed with websites, newsletters, social media, events and information sessions, so find out what you are interested in keeping up-to-date with and sign-up or follow the appropriate channels.

Receiving the appropriate information is especially helpful when starting in a new role and new place but also to strategically develop future plans.
