InQUBate: Supporting Student Innovation and Enterprise

At Queen’s we want to support our students and graduates to be the change makers the world needs. To develop ideas and create solutions to the challenges faced across the globe.

Enterprise, Entrepreneurship and Innovation are fundamental elements of the 2030 strategy at Queen’s University Belfast. Our vision is to provide a single, co-ordinated focus to enhance our support to students and graduates. To increase the scale, scope and effectiveness of enterprise and entrepreneurship education and experience across the entire student journey.

Entrepreneurship and innovation provide vital skills for our students and graduates and can lead to economic growth, job creation, regional development, problem-solving abilities, adaptability, resilience, and global competitiveness. By fostering these skills, the region can create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and empower our students to become future leaders and contributors to society.

Introducing InQUBate and our QUest programme
"Entrepreneurship is a key competence for all, helping young people to be more creative and self-confident in whatever they undertake and to act in a socially responsible way."

“The benefits of entrepreneurship education are not limited to more start-ups, innovative ventures and new jobs created. Entrepreneurship is a key competence for all, helping young people to be more creative and self-confident in whatever they undertake and to act in a socially responsible way” (European Commission, 2006, P.4)
