The PRESENT Study

Did you experience a fetal anomaly diagnosis during pregnancy?

Did you lose your baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth?

This study aims to collaboratively work with parents and care providers in Northern Ireland to adapt support interventions for parents who experience the death of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth due following a fetal anomaly diagnosis.

We would love to speak to you if:

  • You’ve experienced a fetal anomaly diagnosis.
  • You've had the experience of losing your baby during pregnancy (miscarriage, stillbirth, or termination for medical reasons) or shortly after birth.
  • You live in Northern Ireland.
  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You're a mother, father or female partner.
  • Your experience was within the past 10 years.

What is involved?

If you decide to take part you will be invited to join a focus group discussion with other parents who have had similar experiences.  You will be presented three interventions and asked your opinion on them.

Our goal: Improve mental health outcomes

We aim to develop detailed plans for facilitating the successful adaptation, evaluation and implementation of the interventions in an Northern Ireland context.
