Helium Arts is a children’s charity committed to improving the wellbeing of children and young people living with lifelong physical health conditions. Through their free creative workshops offered in communities, hospitals, and online, they provide safe spaces where children navigating health conditions can come together, forge friendships, have fun, and discover new skills.

This Spring, join a free series of six week creative workshops from your own home!

There is a programme suitable for children (ages 6-8), (ages 9-12) & (ages 13-16), with a lifelong physical health condition.

What’s Involved?

When you sign up, you’ll receive a personalised art pack delivered to your doorstep. Over six weeks, you’ll get weekly activities emailed every Saturday. These step-by-step guides offer creative projects and tips for parents/guardians and children. Though activities arrive on Saturday mornings, you can complete them anytime during the week.

All materials required are included in the art box, along with some extras to help promote creativity, involve the family and connect participants with other children nationwide.

Other highlights include:

• Two Zoom sessions: On two Saturday mornings, your child can interact directly with the artist and meet other children in the program. You will receive the dates and times of these sessions by email.
• Post pal exchange: Participants can connect, share artwork, and collaborate with each other.

Supported conditions include diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, juvenile arthritis, heart conditions, spina bifida, hydrocephalus, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, allergies, rare and complex conditions and more.
